On this page I list books I've read and loved. Some may be by authors I know, others by authors I don't. They all have one thing in common, they've made my recommended reads list. The first book on my list is not only from a brilliant writer, but it's also written by a friend. She has a quirky sense of humor and her novels have a very charming British voice. This story kept me up most of the night, one of only a handful I couldn't put down for anything. This story will knot your guts, and give you a big lump in your throat. It is a roller coaster ride of emotion and angst. It is, in my opinion, Barbara Elsorg's best.

The next book I recommend is by a witty science fiction writer. He's an award winning author of multiple stories that will make you bust a gut from the humor. This author made me laugh so hard I woke the house up at three in the morning. Who is the wise guy and what book do you have to read?
Why he's John Scalzi, and the book is, Old Man's War.
The next book you just have to read is by another male author. This time we're talking urban fantasy, and the undisputed king of contemporary urban fantasy can be none other than Mr. Jim Butcher. In the series, The Dresden Files, Harry Dresden is the only wizard in the Chicago phonebook. You never know what mystery he'll be called on to solve next, or what supernatural forces he'll go up against. This is a must read series for young and old. You need only open to the first page to see what all the fuss is about. My favorite?
Dead Beat.
This author is a new to me romance author that I bought on a whim, completely digging the cover. Yes, I paid a bit more for the read than I am used to, but damn, after I read it, I went out and bought the entire series that was available. Read one of her books and there is no doubt why you'll find her on the New York Times Bestseller's list.

This next author is a 2011 Holt Medallion winner. She writes what she knows and it makes her stories all the more engaging. If you'd like a little rock and roll to spice up your erotic reads, Desiree Holt is a must. What's the award-winning book I'm talking about?
Joy Ride.
The next author has one of the most unique voices I've read in any genre. Creative and thought provoking, I found this Decadent 1 Night Stand story the most unusual plot in the stack. This author takes risks and the pay off is nothing short of amazing. Who am I talking about and what 1 Night Stand Story must you read?
Arlene Webb and Last Request.
Sometimes I'm in the mood for something a little naughty, and Kate Richards has provided a sexy little tale that dips into the forbidden world of office romance and BDSM. Spanking Ms. Whitman brings just enough heat to make you sweat, without over the top erotic elements that would chase those new to BDSM romance, away. If you're wanting to dip your toes into the erotic romance pool, this is a great short to cut your teeth on.
